When your pores become clogged with excess sebum and dead skin cells, blackheads are formed. The difference between a blackhead and a whitehead is in the fact whether the pore is open or closed. When the pore is open, the excess of sebum or skin cells oxidizes and oxygen turns into black.
Also, blackheads are not caused by dirt. So, scrubbing the face like crazy is not the best option to eliminate the boring blackheads. Moreover, this can make it worse because your skin will get dry, causing creation of more oil in order to make up for everything that was removed.

 – 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
– 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with one teaspoon of lemon juice and than take the resulting paste with your fingers and apply it on the areas with blackheads. Leave it on for about 15 minutes, then wash with warm water, massaging the skin gently.

How does it work?
Lemon has acidic properties and that helps in the removal of the dead skin, allowing new growth of skin. This way the pores will be unclogged, the skin clear and the blackheads reduced.
Lemon juice is also antibacterial and prevents skin infection after removing blackheads; in addition, it contains alpha hydroxyl, an acid that helps exfoliate the skin and cleans the pores, preventing pimples and blackheads.
