Your risk for some diseases may increase.
Studies from the Harvard School of Public Health have shown that women who frequently skip breakfast had increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Other studies concerning men have shown that skipping breakfast can cause heart disease. Regular meals are important in order to preserve healthy levels of blood lipids.

Missed meal can be substituted with junk food.
Researches from the Cornell University found that people who skipped meals bought 31% more junk food at the grocery store when shopping hungry. This suggests that if you skip meals body craves junk food.

You may burn more fat during exercise…
Some study has shown that morning exercises on empty stomach burned 20% more fat. But you must know that your body reaction will be based on the rest of your diet and the physical challenge.

…But you might also end up skipping exercise in general.
If you decide to exercise later in the day, the low blood sugar after a skipped meal and the many daily obligations may prevent your exercise. Even if you succeed to hit the trail, skipping a meal can make you feel awful during your exercising.

You might get sick.
The longer you avoid meals after intense exercises, the bigger the risk of headaches, fatigue, hunger and even infection. Consuming meal with protein and carbs within two hours exercising reloads your body with energy.
