Nowadays, we all spend a lot of time on our computers. But, can your computer be harmful for your skin?

Dark eye circles 
Dark eye circles can be caused by poor diet, health or not enough sleep. However, spending too much time in front of your computer can worsen the condition. Also, your eyes can get puffier than normal.
Crow’s feet
The clusters of wrinkles that appear around the outer corners of eyes are known as crow’s feet. If you spend too much time on the computer, your eyes become tired and you tend to blink more or squint, which can cause crow’s feet in the long run. People who tend to squint, frown or remain in one position for a longer period while in front of the computer are at greater risk for premature aging. This means more fine lines, wrinkles, turkey neck, deep wrinkles and jowls.
Skin discoloration
If you like carrying your laptop into your bed or you are balancing it on your knees or tummy, it is better to quit the habit because the heat generated by the computer can cause permanent discolouration of the skin and, in rare cases, cancer.
Dull skin tone
Some people complain that their skin tone appears duller when they work on their computer for long hours. This happens due to a lack of blood circulation as those people seat all day long.
Skin allergies
People with very sensitive skin can develop really severe skin allergies after long exposure in from of the computer screen.
Many studies showed that monitors create an electrostatic field that draws floating dust that can settle on the skin and cause dryness, irritation, and allergic reactions.
Useful Tips:
– It is impossible to avoid using computer or laptop, but it is important not to spend long hours in front of the screen.
– Take breaks and drink a lot of water while working on the computer. Get up and take a short walk.
– Stretch your neck by looking left, right, and up at the ceiling and stay at that position for at least 20 seconds.
– Adjust your working space so you’re not always looking down at the screen.
– Purchase an anti-glare screen that fits over the computer monitor to cut down on UV radiation exposure and the glare of blue light.
–  Maintain a good distance from the monitor and clean it regularly (to remove dust).
Also, you can use a sunscreen if you worry about skin pigmentation. Moreover, use skin care products with antioxidants in them because they offer natural protection from UV radiation.
